If you’ve been here for a while, you’ve watched my life change in ways I never imagined.
You’ve seen the recipes, the messy kitchen counters, the late-night work sessions, the tears, the victories, and now… the moving boxes.
This move isn’t just a change of address. It’s a fresh start. And for the first time in a very long time, it feels like peace.
People often think starting over means leaving something behind. But I’ve learned it has so much more to do with choosing what you’re finally willing to walk toward.
I’m walking toward joy. Toward peace. Toward a home that feels safe. Toward laughter around the dinner table. Toward a future my children deserve.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned over the past few years is this: Love isn’t what someone promises. Love is what someone consistently does.
I’ve watched Adam show up every single day—not because he has to, but because he wants to.
He has loved my children as if they were his own. He’s celebrated their wins, encouraged them through hard days, shown up for the little moments that matter, and loved them without keeping score. That isn’t something you can fake.
It takes a real man to love children who aren’t biologically his simply because he loves the woman who comes with them.
My kids have never once questioned whether he cares about them. They know. They feel it. And as their mom, there is no greater gift than watching your children feel seen, valued, protected, and loved.
Watching them flourish has healed parts of my heart I didn’t even realize were still broken.
People sometimes ask if moving to Texas is scary.
Of course it is.
Any fresh start comes with uncertainty.
But what isn’t scary is knowing we’re building this next chapter on a foundation of love, respect, kindness, and showing up for one another every single day. That’s the kind of family I want my children to experience.
Because kids don’t just listen to what we tell them about love.
They watch it. They watch how people treat each other. They watch who keeps their promises. They watch who chooses to stay present. Those are lessons they’ll carry with them for the rest of their lives.
This move isn’t about running from the past. It’s about refusing to let the past define our future.
For a long time, I stayed in places that made me smaller. Today, I’m choosing a life that lets all of us grow. And judging by the smiles on my kids’ faces lately, I know we’re headed exactly where we’re supposed to be.
To this incredible community—my Holly B. family—thank you.
You have prayed for us, encouraged us, celebrated our wins, cried with us through the hard seasons, cooked my recipes, shared your own stories, and reminded me over and over that none of us have to do life alone.
I truly wouldn’t be where I am today without this sweet corner of the internet.
Thank you for believing in me, cheering for my family, and walking beside us through every chapter.
I hope you’ll continue to come along as we build our little Texas life—from home projects and recipes to farm dreams, family dinners, and all the beautiful chaos in between.
Here’s to fresh starts.
To choosing peace.
To showing up for the people you love.
And to building a life that finally feels like home.
I’m so glad you’re here.
