Today, I’m so excited to finally share something that’s been months in the making.
We’re moving to Texas.
After spending most of my life in Southern California, our family is preparing to leave behind the beach life we’ve known for years and begin a brand-new chapter in Fort Worth.
To say this decision has been emotional would be an understatement.
Southern California has been home for a very long time. It’s where I raised my kids, built lifelong friendships, started my business, and created so many memories I’ll cherish forever.
But sometimes life calls you toward something new.
And for us, that something new looks like wide open spaces, a slower pace, beautiful sunsets, room to breathe, and a home where we can build the next chapter of our family’s story.
The House That Stole Our Hearts
The moment we walked onto the property, we knew it was special. Five beautiful acres. Mature trees. Endless possibilities. And a house that needs a whole lot of love.
While many people might have walked through and seen a long list of projects, all I could see was potential.
I could picture family dinners in the kitchen. Holiday gatherings around a giant table.Friends sitting on the porch. Gardens growing. Dogs running. Kids coming home years from now and bringing their own families back to visit.
It instantly felt like the kind of place where memories would be made for generations.
The Remodel Begins
Before we officially move in, we’re diving headfirst into a full remodel. And when I say full remodel… I mean full remodel.
Kitchen. Bathrooms. Flooring. Paint. Lighting. Built-ins. Organization. Landscaping.
The whole thing.
Honestly? It’s equal parts exciting and terrifying.
But one thing I know for sure is that I want to bring all of you along for the journey. You’ll get to see the real behind-the-scenes process—the good, the messy, and everything in between.
The design decisions. The mistakes. The wins. The before-and-afters. And hopefully a lot of laughs along the way.
A New Kind of Content
Don’t worry—the recipes aren’t going anywhere.
Cooking and gathering people around the table will always be at the heart of what I do. But this move also opens the door to sharing so much more of the things I love.
Home projects. Decorating. Organization. Gardening. Hosting. Ranch life. Family adventures. And all the everyday moments that make a house feel like home.
For years, you’ve welcomed me into your kitchens. Now I’m excited to welcome you into this entire journey.
What Happens Next?
The next few months are going to be busy.
There will be boxes. Dust. Paint samples. Design boards.
Probably a few moments where I wonder what in the world we’ve gotten ourselves into.
But there will also be so much excitement.
New beginnings. New opportunities. And the chance to create a home that reflects everything our family values most.
A place where people feel welcome. A place where memories are made. A place where life is lived fully.
And I cannot wait to share it with you.
